... I reconnected everything, re-opened Audacity and the Audient app, changed the Mic back to 'Mic 1' and everything kicked-off! Many thanks for your help Gale. ... number of the mic and which input in 4Pre is it connected to? And what are your selected settings in Audacity's Device Toolbar ? If you need more help, please attach the full information from Help > Audio Device Info... top right of Audacity. Please see how to attach files to forum posts . Gale

Please do the following:
1) Look in "Help > About Audacity" and tell me which version of Audacity you have.
2) Press Ctrl+A (select all), then Ctrl+F (Zoom to fit), then Ctrl+Shift+F (Fit vertically), then take a screen shot and post it.
