You do need to reboot reasonably often using a USB connection. However only 10 minutes recording without problems isn't reasonable.

If setting a low Audio to buffer in Audacity doesn't help, then you could try resetting the SMC.

Audacity changes my Microphone levels.

... will most likely not be picked up by their recording software. Is there a way I can prevent Audacity from tampering with my microphone levels? All help is much appreciated! :)

Recording volume not editable?

Audacity:

Win 8.1

When selecting Windows WASAPI as audio host and speaker/headphone as recording device, I can't seem to edit the recording volume.
What can I do? I'm fairly new to some of Audacity's feature. Please help.
