Re: Clean and seamless looping?
If you don't want to go through the trouble of carefully editing loops to make them seamless, the alternative is to buy commercial loops from a reputable company, or search through lots and lots of free ones to pick out the ones that work best. In the long run, if you are interested in making sample...

Re: Cd tracks not appearing in my PC "Music" file
If the files play in Windows Media Player or iTunes, they are obviously on your computer somewhere. In Windows Media Player I can right-click on the icon/artwork and there is an option to "Open File Location". Or you can use Windows Search if you know the file name or part of the file name.

Remove a specifc word in the entire file
Hi, This is my first day using audacity and I already started to love it. One technical question. I have a long audio file of a speech. The speaker likes to use "er" at the end of every sentence. I manually removed a lot of them, but there are many more. Is there a way to search the entire...

Re: Post recording dead mic noise
Seems odd that when I search for Noisegate it only surfaces the one I put in the regular Audacity plugins folder but there is also a version in the /Users/dperkins/Library/Application Support/audacity/Plug-Ins/ folder as shown in the screenshot.

Re: Steinberg UR12 - Audacity 2.2.2 - Linux Mint
Before I purchase a microphone to USB (A2D converter) preamp, do I need a special driver for Linux? It depends on what the device is. If it is "class compliant USB", then it should work fine with Linux without installing any special drivers. For anything else, check the manufacturer's web...

Re: newbie seeks recommendations
Well, now I can't find Mastering Four in the Help Manual. So I guess that would be my first suggestion-- put "ACX" and/or "Mastering Four" in the Index (though what would of course be really wonderful would be a Search Box, though I know that isn't always feasible).

Re: removing incessant, metronomic clicking
Periodically when recording 2 inputs on my Scarlett 2i2, a recording will suddenly become infected with this beating and I have no idea what prompts it. The clicks are almost exactly 0.094 seconds apart and increase in volume with the sound of my voice. Mac OSX (2015) That sounds like the infamous ...

Re: Selection too long for analysis
flynwill - Thanks again. Being pretty new to this audio narrating thing, I'm still paranoid that my files won't pass the ACX robots, which is why I still check every file I upload. Koz - I'm using the legacy process, for the most part. I'm recording in my home office (spare bedroom). I've hung movin...
