You can post demo-reels on SoundCloud for free ... https://soundcloud.com/search/people?q=%22Voice%20over%20demo%22 [ SoundCloud is to audio what YouTube is to Video ]. There are VO websites ... https://www.voices.com/ http://voice123.com/ https://voicebunny.com Some...

Re: How do I use FFmpeg?

The file ending is .DSS Where did it come from? An Olympus voice recorder? I'm guessing that the file is as described here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_Speech_Standard There's a website here that claims to be able to convert a .DSS file to WAV: https: // convertio.co/dss-wav/ Note: this i...

For the safety of all of our users (many are minors), we do not allow email addresses to be published on the forum.
Regular forum users gain access to the forum "PM" (private message) system so that they can discuss things "off list" if they wish to.

I've been using Audacity for about ten years now, I don't know if I'm a "power user" but I'm pretty comfortable with it. Feel free to e-mail me directly with any specific questions and, if I can, I'll provide whatever answers I can.

Re: In search of an Audacity Tutor

Be careful of on-line videos. Many of them have errors / mistakes / bad advice / poor examples /... and they almost always show obsolete versions of Audacity without telling you which version they are using (and no-one ever goes back to update them). Unfortunately we do not have the resources to pro...

In search of an Audacity Tutor

Hello everyone, I'm new to Audacity. I downloaded it for a Music class I am taking while in school and while interesting, it is also very confusing to me. I'm not looking for someone to do assignments for me but to help guide me through some steps so I can better understand this program while doing ...

Re: Digital Artifacts. Easier way to remove?

So this track that I'm working on has what I can only describe as digital artifacts ... In spectrogram view they are quite easy to see. https://forum.audacityteam.org/download/file.php?id=21935 Anywho, if there is an easier way to go about cutting those out that will be extremely helpful. On your e...

Re: Need advice about a bio-acoustics project using Audacity

And for Raven, it seems they already tried it but it was before i was in the lab. I think it didn't fit their "workflow". And i can't add our in own functions to it to make it as we need, no plugins nor open-source. But as it's made for bio-acoustics, i will check Raven myself ... It's be...
