Re: Music required
This is not a good question for this forum as it invites replies that contravene the forum policy of not allowing advertising. Try these search terms in Google and you will find hundreds of options to choose from: "Creative Commons" "Royalty free music" I shall close this topic b...

Combining and sub-scripts in .NY files
I have been posting and replying to title "Noise gate vs insert room sound" in the "Audiobook Production" forum with mixed results. Although the purpose for my posts involves audiobooks my questions may be more about programming. Please allow me to quote some of my posts from tha...

Re: Noise gate vs insert room sound
Yes, the Punch Copy/Paste plugin, that I mentioned in my post of August 10, could do the "paste-some-preselected-room-sound" part of the function I envision. I am currently looking at the "Sound Finder" and "Silence Finder" plugins to do the "search" part of t...

Re: Please Add Vote to Changing "Repair Selection is Too Big" UI
If only I could have bound a keyboard key to the macro it could have literally been two steps ... but that doesn't seem possible Sure it is: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/keyboard_preferences.html Oh, I see it now! Thanks. What happened was I typed in "macro" to the search. When I d...

No Sound Playing Cassette on Win 10 - solution
Ran into an issue when setting up the USB cassette on Windows 10. After switching to a different USB port to get the USB PnP Audio Device to finally show in the Sound control panel there still was no sound. When I double clicked on the Microphone Array in the Sound control panel & opened the Lis...

Re: Trying to remove the pop when muting and unmuting the mic while recording
Well, even better is if I ever crack the code on how to sync two audio tracks together then I could record voice with Audacity and game audio with video with Fraps. Then if I need to clip out a part of what the mic picks up it won't affect game audio. O.o As for a pre-amp, a quick search turns up mo...

Re: burned CD from Audacity is loaded with noise
I looked again at our collection of CD players (like walkman-type CD players - for individual use) and I found that some of them DO have a search/rewind button, so thank you for the correction. I will remember to always take one with that button available! I have not been to a store to get new CDs. ...

How do I shorten the track length? It's not letting my 'cut' the end off
Hi Forum! Sorry, it's a newbie question for sure! I've searched the wiki, but my search terms must be wrong, or it's just too obvious to put in! I have an extra 15 dead seconds at the end of my project. I have tried to delete the end, cut the end, cut a middle out of the end... I select all tracks, ...

Re: burned CD from Audacity is loaded with noise
I can take the mp3 and copy it onto a CD which plays both in the computer and on CD players. There are 2 kinds of CDs: An audio CD doesn't contain "computer files" and if you want to copy the files to your computer you have to use a "CD ripper" application. You can play an audio...
