Re: Is it possible to create audio map of volume?

I can use your code commonly with debuging in Delphi. I will write my own program, but your results can help me to debug and to search sound in file. Would it be possible that you would create yet two more scripts, based on this one, but instead of printing, in one script you would test if value is ...

Re: Using midi with audio

I don't have Cakewalk but as far as I know, BandLab is not "evil". There are other choices and if you search for "free DAW" I'm pretty sure there are free ones. (Cakewalk used to be a commercial program called SONAR from a company called Cakewalk.) REAPER (which I also don't own)...

Re: Scrolling left and right in audio track

Jump to a specific time is one of the windows on the bottom of the display. Do you just want to slide the display left and right? Shift + Scroll Wheel. What makes me crazy is Audacity doesn't have markers. You can't Mark-In and have it stick right there while you go search for a Mark-Out point. We h...

Fisxing off-beat in an existing song

Hi all, Flanker305 here, new to the forum, first post. Hi all :D I know Audacity for quite some time, but encountered a problem reventy I can't take care of. I have a WAV of an existing poprocksong played by a band. The BPM reads 122,09. I want to remake this track and add a beat to it. So I used LM...

I am using Ubuntu 18.04.3 LTS
I have just installed Audacity 2.3.2 from the Software Centre
The Ubuntu 18.04 repository does not have Audacity 2.3.2, it has 2.2.1

Re: XLR mic completely unable to record in mono

Actually, you should use a transformer to convert from balanced to unbalanced. (That one has a 1/4" plug so you'd need another adapter cable, and you may not find one with a 3.5mm plug.) But, the preamps built into most regular soundcards are low quality so if you are going to use a good stage/...

Re: First try of Audacity

But a normal install of the audacity package gives me v2.1.1 The Ubuntu 18.04 repository carries Audacity 2.2.1 (https://packages.ubuntu.com/search?keywords=audacity&searchon=names&suite=bionic&section=all). This version does work (I use it myself). The interface is massively complicate...

Re: Import cue sheets to labels: create plugin

I created a Python script that worked for me (i.e. the sample CUE file above). It just uses the TITLE and INDEX 01 of each track to create the labels. I'm sharing it here. Note: I used Thonny to create it. https://thonny.org/ Mini tutorial to use the script: 1. Copy and paste the code below in a tex...

Re: Poor/no recording volume control

I found some documentation for your computer and it's a little "odd". So, I don't know how that mic/line connector works. I think it's a regular 3-conductor connector that gets configured for microphone or line-input with software/drivers. is there an audio configuration utility, or does i...
