updating: Will using a old Lenovo T520 laptop work with scarlett Solo and the mxl 770 condenser microphone for voice over work on audacity? I did a quick google search and some ppl seem to have issues.

ALL of ther other programs installed on the computer start instantly once clicked but audacity needs at least 10 seconds, sometimes even longer, to start. Why is that? It's installed from the community Arch repo. IDK if it's compiled from source code because I choose audacity during the installation...

Thanks, Peter. I tried that. I could see no reason why it wouldn't work. However, Audacity doesn't seem to get its filter custom presets from that EQ curves file. I did a search in both folders. It looks like Any Video Converter and Skype may also have that file. Also something in Windows and Avast.
