Re: Question about Normalization (how does it work in Audaci
Thank you for your reply. I see then that the Normalize function in Audacity is supposed to do. In my case, I am best to stick with the "Amplify" function instead, then. I think it might be useful if there was a tick box in the Normalize function that offered something like "tie stere...

Re: Vocal range recognition plugin effect- pls help
i got the source codes from the links you gave, i'll study it first for now. i am more on C++ but as far as my research in audacity is concerned, i found out that you use NYQUIST proglang. is it necessary to use this language in adding up feature in audacity. if that so, i am willing to learn it. I...

Re: Slight distortion -meditation recording
Sound overload or clipping is one of the Four Horsemen. Pretty deadly. One of the people on the forum was working on a sibilance filter. I wonder how that's coming along. That's not strictly the same thing, but some of the characteristics are the same. Search the forum(s) or Google Clipping Fixer or...

Re: Wrong forum?
MBox may be one of the machines that don't get along too well with Audacity. Search the forum(s) for mbox.

Re: recording with audacity and lexicon alpha
Try using Audacity 1.3.6 and see if that is any better. If no improvement, check out the things in this post: http://audacityteam.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=3053&p=26802#p13796 If still no joy, look up "USB" in the Audacity wiki: http://audacityteam.org/wiki/index.php?search=us...

Re: Noise Removal duplicates whole track
Sometimes you can get around wacky 1.3.6 problems by trashing your audacity configuration file. I'm not totally sure where it is on a Windows machine, but you can search for that. audacity.cfg is the usual suspect file name.

Oh, I believe you. But it's still a Windows file. Audacity can't find it and you won't be able to find it, either.
Search this page for that filename...

Re: Audio output
<<<wondering if there is a solution??>>> I'm guessin' yes, but there is no good way to find the solution. I killed off one of my USB preamplifiers a couple of weeks ago with this error. Eventually--days later--I figured out the spells to get it working again. They're not published anywhere. I'm goin...
