Re: please help me... important.. vocal remover
I'm not in a position to listen to it, but here are the known working ways to remove a vocal. The bottom two, I believe, will do both... Center Pan Remover (Voice Remover--Search the page for "Center Pan Remover") http://audacityteam.org/download/nyquistplugins Voice Isolator (Opposite of ...

Aud Files can't be played!
I have several old files and they have been relocated. Now that I want to play them back again I can't, I've tried to open them using Audacity but Windows says that the files can't be opened using this program and asks me if I'd like Windows to search for a suitable program to replay them in... Can ...

Voice effects to simulate techniques used in video games...
I run Audacity on Mac OS X 10.5. I am looking for a way to take a voice recording as input, apply some distortion filter and save the result as MP3. Things I would like to achieve in examples: - Cortana's voice over in the Halo 3 revelation trailer - Soldier's voice via a WWII radio transmitter (wit...

I have 1 exclamation point next to the Microsoft Kernel Audio Splitter entry in Device Manager under Sound I did a Google search and came across a suggestion to re-install the Microsoft Kernel Audio Splitter. See here for details: http://forums.driverguide.com/showthread.php?t=6435 Also, do you hav...

Re: Saving Audacity files as MP3
If you really can;t make it work - then you may want to try just exporting as WAV and thgen using an external converter program to produce a compressed MP3. There are plenty of free ones available, findable with a quick search of t'interweb - even iTunes (free to download) can be set up to do this f...

Crash Recovery is unfortunately not very good in 1.2 (It is much improved in 1.3, much more automated and Iit does work in 1.3 I had to use it this weekend). This page from the Wiki may help you in recovering your 1.2 project: http://audacityteam.org/wiki/index.php?title=CrashRecovery I also seem to...

Recording only Left Channel
I'm sure I'm not the first to have had this issue, put perhaps my frustration is making me blind to the search results coming up. I have been using Audacity for about 6 months without issue. I was using a Plantronics DSP400 USB headset. I have upgraded to a Heil PR40 microphone and as a result neede...

Re: How do I Install the help files?
IIRC I don't think the developers have bothered to ship the help files with the 1.3.x versions - they are Beta versions afer all. I seem to remember someone a while back posting a workaround for this - so you might want to try "Search"ing the forum - or perhaps someone else will come by wh...
