Audacity 1.3.7 not using my lame_enc.dll
I am having a problem with my Audacity 1.3.7 install: my configuration information is remembered and correctly used by Audacity -- *except* for lame_enc.dll. The correct info is saved in my audacity.cfg file after I have exited (even the correct path for my lame_enc.dll), but the software insists t...

Re: Can't find my .wav files
Just to add to my post, my computer doesn't hide file extensions. No, search does not produce anything. There are no new .wav files. You're the same one that replied to my other post. Perhaps, I should have added this post to the previous section's post. Changing the sample rate does no good at all,...

Re: Can't find my .wav files
<<<I had 1.2.6 , but had trouble>>> Can you talk about that? <<<I edited and exported about 30 evp files>>> We try and avoid abbreviations. EVP? That's not a file type, is it? Do you have your Windows set so it does not hide file extensions? Do your files arrive during a search? Just looking at this...

Re: Anyway to disable AU support for audacity?
2. I'm not on about AU audio files as mentioned I'm on about AU plugins for mac osx, which I believe is supported by audacity? Yet there is no way I can find to switch this off for audacity that's what I'm asking Ah yes, that's a different question - not being a Mac user myself I thought you were a...

Re: can't seem to find click
How about we tell you how to find it? There is one Audacity preference that drives me nuts and that's Auto Scroll with Playback, or whatever it's called on your version. On some it's Update Display While Playing. What that change does for you is keep one edit point on your screen wherever the cursor...

Sharp 'S' in vocals
hey everyone, My search didn't really turn up anything on this. I record an audio podcast and I've had several people let me know that when I make an 'S' sound, they here a large sometimes painful (if they are using earbuds or headphones) spike. does anyone know how to remove this? and keep in mind,...

Re: mixer bar - input source
The Realtek control panels often have stuff hidden, and every computer with a Realtek sound card seems to have a slightly different layout. The options should be there, but you will need to search for them. If the options are not there then you've got trouble and may need a better sound card (decent...

Re: MP3 import - Cut is grayed out
Thanks for the answers. Actually after I submitted this question I continued to search the forums and found an old posting that said to use the "stop" button instead of the "pause" button - and that worked! "Cut" was no longer gray! However I will look into other format...

Miss-matched architecture recognition OS 10.5.7
The Audacity 1.3.7 app icon has a red circle with diagonal bar over it. Trying to open brings up a 'Can't open on this architecture' error. OS 10.5.7 — Mini 1.5 GHz Intel Core Solo: I did once search for audacity stuff, including invisible items, deleted all from the boot disc. The fresh install sti...
