Re: Bad Graphics on ubuntu 9.1
It's a graphics driver problem. I don't know how you fix it, but I remember seeing this problem on the forum on two occasions and there is information about fixing it. If you search the forum, hopefully you will find the answer.

Re: Won't do what I "tell" it to do
First of all, while I did welcome all help or advice, if it is such as inconvenience or annoyance, by all means move on. Second of all, I did search other posts and could not find any directly related to my "problems" as I am having more than one, therefore the two posts. Thirdly, since yo...

Re: Windows 7 64bit Preferences problem
Which beta should I install for Windows 7 and if it's 1.3.10 should I uninstall v1.3.9 before installing the 1.3.10 version and then the 1.3.10alpha file? Since you are experiencing the Preferences problem you should use 1.3.10alpha. There is no absolute need to uninstall 1.3.9 but you might as wel...

Re: I'm importing a song, but the AIFF file is HUGE!
The actual recording quality is almost entirely down to the hardware you are using, and of course the condition of the records. The noise reduction in Audacity is not the best in the world - For Linux there is Gnome Wave Cleaner which is really good, waxcylinder regularly recommends another program ...

Re: Autotalent Help
the plug-in is supposed to be able to work in real time, but I don't think there a way to do this with audacity? Correct - Audacity does not support real time processing. Also I don't really know what most of the settings do, other than the notes that I want... If anyone has any experience with thi...

Re: can't find file
Yes, it says C:Program FilesAudacity - but when I go into Explorer and look in that folder there is no MP3 file. And if I do a search at the root of C: it shows me a few MP3 files I have but not the one I created with Audacity.

USB Turntable/Recording levels way too high
Hi New to the forum/program, but I'm hoping someone may be able to help with this. I recently purchased a USB turntable (IT Tech ITUT-201) with the hope of ripping some old vinyl to my computer. The Audacity program came with the turntable. Hooked it up, installed Audacity, set up the program... eve...

I recorded a song from a cassette tape and exported it as an MP3 - I went into Windows Exporer to copy the .MP3 file to my MP3 player but it wasn't there. I went back into Audacity and tried to save it again but it said it was already there and did I want to over write the exiting file. Why can't I ...
