I think the "View New Posts" just lists posts that have been made since your last visit.
I usually use the "View Active Topics" link (got it bookmarked).

Did you rename the .aup file? Or did you rename the _data folder? Audacity projects consist of two parts. MyProject.aup (a document) and MyProject_data (a folder).
