High Pitch Tones issue
Hello, my name is Marta and I just started using audacity (1.2.6. stable) to record and edit audio. I have a following issue: when I record, it sounds all great, there is no clipping at any point. I export it to an MP3, sounds great. I make a little movie out of it, post in on you tube - and then, w...

Re: New checkout fails to build
Hi speef! I am getting the same problem when I try to build slv2. Are you aware that it is not necessary to build it in order to compile and run Audacity? I am not familiar with slv2 so I do not know what it might add to Audacity. I did search my computer for stdbool.h and found it in the source sec...

Re: Where did my file go? poof! ... missing in action
Hi Audacity forum, Not sure what I did, or if it was me. Running vista 32 bit audacity 1.2.6 I have been recording some stuff - obviously. I was editing them today. I decided to wait until later to edit this one file and closed it, don't remember if I saved changes or not, didn't matter as I was go...

New checkout fails to build
Hi guys- I have been building CVS checkouts for a few months with Visual Studio 2008 on a Windows 7 machine. I just checked out the whole -current SVN tree and went to build it. Everything worked except for the slv2 library. slv2 fails because it can't find some standard system include files: 3>help...

**SOLUTION** FFmpeg library not detected in 1.3.xx
Hey everyone. I downloaded your program to see the capabilities of it, and mainly for it's import/export feature, but I had trouble getting it going because it could not find any FFmpeg libraries (avformat-52.dll). I installed the 1.3.9, 1.3.10, 1.3.11b, and 1.3.12a versions with all the same result...

Re: help - too many settings on a pc - which ones and where?
You have a very talented sound card with more ins and outs than are normal. I have an older sound card like that -- it supports full 5.1 analog surround and digital signals in addition to the regular signals and pathways. I have a rainbow of different connectors back there. The down side to these c...

Re: Problem in Multichannel Recording and playback system
@saviour2009 - the trouble is that very few of the posters use multi-channel - I don't think any of the forum elves do for instance. So essentiyll you are a pioneer in this area - that's why you're gettinmg so little response, sorry. There are a few references to multi-channel in the Wiki - try a se...

Re: How to Increase Volume?
Before exporting to MP3 - select the whole project with CTRL+A - and then use Effect > Amplify - Audacity will calculate a default based on the loudest it can go without clipping, so jus accept the default. Then do the MP3 export. But if you have load bits and softer bits - then you may need a compr...
