Re: Exporting MP3 to ogg as 6 channel stereo NOT mono
Sorry, very very new to all this. No problem, we'll get there eventually ;) What's the " 6 channel" thing that you're talking about? I have the songs & notes. "Songs" as in "audio recordings"? Where did these come from? "Notes" as in .....? I was told to ...

Re: Recording too many MB for CD
The forum "Search" facility sucks (sorry). But there is a link for "View your posts" near the top of the page. (or bookmark the page). When you make a post, there is also an option below the composition window to "Notify me when a reply is posted". If you select this op...

Re: Recording too many MB for CD
To those who replied to my questions, I say thanks. For a while today I thought I was going to have to do another post for help navigating this forum site. I finally found your replies by entering "CD capacity" in the Advanced search box. There must be a better way. But there again, I prob...

Re: Capture Audio from DVD or online?
Sorry if this is in the wrong place but I'm hoping it isn't. I've search Google and been a fan of Audacity when cropping my audio for several years, but figured I should come to these boards if I wanted very clear, helpful answers. If there is audio on a DVD that I want to capture to my computer, o...

Re: Easy Auto Cross-Fade implementation
This has been requested before - and now sits on the Audacity Wiki Feature REquests page. See: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Feature_Requests and search for "Automatic Cross-fading".

Re: Crackling Noise Overdubs; Realtek/Windows Twilight Zone
is that info in the docs ? I don't think that it is covered in as much detail, though there is some information here: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Mixer_Toolbar_Issues#Using_the_Control_Panel and I think there's a bit more somewhere else though I don't remember exactly where. thanks all the mo...

Re: Audacity crashed whilst trying to save as audacity proje
<<<seems to be a common issue with long recordings.>>> I was and and then wasn't going to bring that up. Your show isn't considered a "Long" recording. I have produced three hour presentations myself. Long is the poster several threads over that tried to manage a 14-hour show. He didn't ma...

Re: display bugs?
Y'all should try playing around with Audacity's built in Screen shot tools, on the Help menu. Rather than copy to the clipboard, it exports a .png file to whichever directory you specify. You specify which part of the screen to capture, click the appropriate button and you're done. Sure beats copyi...

Re: Single Channel Sound in Mix
Hi All, I'm a new user to Audacity and can't seem to get a sound mix right. I want to ONLY hear the Right channel recording on the right speaker, and the Left channel recording on the left speaker. No matter how I save the file as a Stereo, or a file with 2 channels, one labeled Left, the other lab...
