are you sure? if you got the little data file chunks in the data folder there is an aup folder around unless somebody erased it. sometimes if you have a folder with many files you might miss it. i have encountered this several times. do a search on your pc for that file extension. feature request - ...

I don't know where the location of the folder is. I have done a spotlight search for the .bak extension and can't find it.
