Re: unnecessary echo recorded using StereoMix
Having gone through all of the other options, it does indeed sound like it is probably a driver problem. Unfortunately the trend with new drivers on Windows is for disabling Stereo Mix entirely, so it is unlikely that a new driver will be released that offers a solution to the problem. For some type...

Re: MP3's on CD
"Six bucks!? And how much postage from the other side of the world?" That's less than six bucks, delivered, from Hong Kong. Search eBay for Car Mp3 Player Wireless FM Transmitter. I like it very much with no commercials and all my favorite songs. "I like wire connection." I've c...

Re: Audacity Beta 1.3.12 Normalizing Mp3s To loudest Best Le
In audacity instead of normalize effect use amplify effect instead. When you amplify the default gain is automatically calculated so that the new peak level is 0dB (the maximum without clipping). By doing this all files will have the peak at the maximum possible value. However this does not exactly ...

Re: New plug-in: Tone Generator
The Debug window appears every time the plug-in is run, irrespective of whether Debug is clicked or not. Is this intentional? No, not intentional, I think that may be a new bug in Audacity. Yes, it'a bug in the Audacity Nyquist interface (at least in Audacity_1.3.13-alpha). It doesn't only appear w...

Re: audacity 1.3 beta crash. can't access new or old work
Sorry for the problem, but there are known unresolved issues with project stability in Audacity Beta that sometimes occur. I strongly recommend not only exporting a mix down, but separate WAVs for each track as back-ups. If you are not already using 1.3.12, upgrade to it, because projects will be mo...

Re: cant get right "lame "ver. for audacity
Later in the topic that I directed you to there is a second method - this method usually works when other methods fail. To save messing around with links, I'll copy the relevant parts here: ---------------------------------------- Download the ZIP file from this page http://lame.buanzo.com.ar/ and e...

Re: recording problem with 2 channels
The "Selecteren" box should be clickable. If it does not select when you click on it then I suspect there is a bug in the sound card drivers. You may need to search for updated drivers for your sound card. After i installed a driver for my sound card, the box is clickable , so thanks! but...

Re: How do you restore an unsaved 13 hour recording?
If there is an 8G file and it contains all of the audio data, you can probably recover it. An uncompressed audio file is simply a sequence of bytes, and if you know the format and can find the "starting point", the data is useable. Look for a file-splitting utility and split the file. (Do ...
