Re: batch removal of Title metadata
With a command line id3 tag editor and some shell scripting skills it's possible (and efficient and easy if you can speak shell scripting). On linux I use eyeD3. I don't know what's available for mac on that matter. You can try to compile some of the linux apps if you have xdev tools. Or see what av...

Close file without closing Audacity?
I did a search of this forum and the wiki page but couldn't find anyone else who had suggested this. I would like to be able to close a file without having to close down Audacity. That's all. Perhaps this could be added to a future release?

Re: export recordings to tuxguitar or guitarpro
Converting audio to MIDI is a very complex task, especially if there is more than one note playing at a time.
Good luck with your search - if you find a good program that can do this (especially if it is a free open source program), do let us know - I'm sure there will be many other users interested.

Re: Error Importing
You need to use a converter that understands the format from your Olympus VN-6200 PC to convert them into a supported file type such as WAV. You can then import the WAV files into Audacity. You're not the first person to have problems with files from an Olympus recorder - it seems that they regularl...

Re: recording my bass guitar need help!!
<<<comp specs is: dual core 2.20GHZ 2 GB RAM 64 bit OS>>> I have a Mac, a Windows PC, and a linux machine that can all do that. One of our tricks when we search for damage is to simplify the machine as far as possible. Turn down the playback services, deselect "Play Track while Recording New On...

In Europe solder is now lead free, (and is pronounced soul-der not saw-der).kozikowski wrote:Those are generally held together with solder -- hot melted lead and tin with a rosin cleaning agent.

Re: Not Recording
It recorded YouTube this morning. I couldn't hear it while it was recording and when I could hear the YouTube then Audacity would not record again. The devices are Host: MME Creative SB Live. I need to set Playback to USB Audio to listen to the playback but I can't hear while recording. If I can lis...

Organising VST Plugins?
Hi All, I've just downloaded the latest beta (1.3.12) and I'm really pleased to see that Audacity now offers NATIVE support for VST plugs. That's really helpful for me - I never had any success with the VSTbridge! So a big thank you to the development team. I have a couple of questions, though: 1. I...
