Re: Mixing sounds
[quote="kozikowski"]I'm sure this isn't it, but the SOLO and MUTE buttons to the left will allow you to play two at once or mute only one, but you can't change things while Audacity is running. It's not real time production. You could play Audacity on two or more computers. Thanks Koz, I d...

Re: Feature Request: Automatic Loop Finder
I can think of all sorts of technical problems with this. How long a segment makes a loop? Six Notes? Ten? Can you have a three minute loop in one of those dance versions that goes for fifteen minutes? Many songs have a phrase that they use at the beginning, middle and end to tie the portions of the...

Re: AI is genuine stupidity - search nfg
Searching for rather than gives only one result (this thread).
If you put the text between quotes it will search for the complete phrase. The same works for google.
Code: Select all
"line 6 error"Code: Select all
line 6 errorIf you put the text between quotes it will search for the complete phrase. The same works for google.

Re: Disc Space Remaining 6hrs 25 mins & Falling!
Have you tried emptying the Windows wastebasket? You should also probably defrag the disk too. Amd yes if it gets to xero you will not be able to use Audacity - BUT more importantly you will proabably not will be able to use you PC as you will have totally run out of diskspace. So you do need to act...

Re: Can I record a running 60 seconds of audio?
In abbreviated form, you want surveillance software. Record a continuous loop sometimes months long depending on your hard drive capacity and drop in anywhere and listen or export as much as you want. You can record over the months long loop repeatedly, or you can make it stop so you can archive one...

It automatically uploaded to iTunes You can change iTunes preferences to any format that QuickTime recognizes and there are a lot. Open Preferences > CD > Import settings > WAV Encoder, Automatic. Re: Close file without closing Audacity?
I did a search of this forum and the wiki page but couldn't find anyone else who had suggested this. I would like to be able to close a file without having to close down Audacity. That's all. Perhaps this could be added to a future release? The next Beta (1.3.13) will fix this problem. File > Close...
