Re: CAN'T OPEN SAVE PROJECT

If you open the AUP file in a text editor, you will see that each data block is listed,. For example: <simpleblockfile filename="e00005cc.au" len="262144" min="-0.8" max="0.8" rms="0.565683"/> The data file here is called "e00005cc.au" If I...

Re: Recordings are sped up when played back

There's something wrong with the headset model number. Google sends me to the steelseries web site, but a 4H search returns "Sorry, we didn't find the page." Their website search feature is as good as the one on this forum :D http://shop.steelseries.com/index.php/audio/steelseries-4h.html...

Re: where to save it to

Name the file something unique and use the Windows Search system to find it.

Stay away from punctuation marks and spaces in filenames. Use only the "safe" characters: numbers, upper and lower case letters, dash and underscore. Nothing else.

Today is 20110523, not 5/23/11.

Re: Recordings are sped up when played back

There's something wrong with the headset model number. Google sends me to the steelseries web site, but a 4H search returns "Sorry, we didn't find the page." Got it. That headset is only available international, not to North America. So that's a non-USB headset, right? It plugs in like thi...

Re: Missing recordings

I ran in to a problem with a ca. 1 hour stereo recording (96 kHz 32 bit floting). The recording is missing, the apf file is stamped at the right time but the audio is gone. When I go into the coresponding data folder, it is also stamped at the right time. The e00 folder is also stamped at the right...

Re: Hard limiter/Amplify?

If you want to increase the overall loudness then you should use dynamic compression. You can either use the audacity's built-in compressor or download chris' compressor: http://pdf23ds.net/software/dynamic-compressor/ If you search this forum for dynamic compression or compressor you should find a ...

There's also a note about it in the release notes: http://sox.git.sourceforge.net/git/gitweb.cgi?p=sox/sox;a=blob;f=README.win32;hb=HEAD 85 Appendix - MP3 Support 86 ---------------------- 87 88 SoX contains support for reading and writing MP3 files but does not ship 89 with the DLL's that perform d...

Re: UI quirks on 1.3.13

@dickN -- would you consider changing the thread title to something which might attract other users with this problem? Maybe something like: Big delay in displaying characters typed into a label or when dragging tracks vertically Sure! Uh, how do I do that? Won't all the replies have the old title?...
