Re: Extracting lead guitar
Shouldn't I now be able to invert the original song with this track, resulting with a track that only has the lead guitar and vocals? Nope! ;) I've been through this thought-process too and I know it seems like it should be easy, but no matter how much algebra you do, you end-up with essentially 4 ...

Re: Removing (editing) commercials from soundtrack
If all you are doing is cutting chunks out of existing MP3s thaen there are better tools than Audacity for that precise task which will operate directly on your MP3 file (so noe extra MP3 compression damage will occur. Off the top of my head I can't remember the tools that have been recommended in t...

Re: add build date to log
Can you say why? The devs would really like to be able to ID the commit revision number for some bug reports. Search Bugzilla for "commit"--I asked if there was a way and got "No, but it sure would be nice". Having the build date on the betas (the "stable" is well know...

Re: Persistent audio glitch using new computer
Well, now I can't reproduce the problem. That's a little frustrating, but not nearly as frustrating as having the problem in the first place! I can't get it to have any glitches now even when I really push it -- have other programs open, record 96 kHz 32-bit float, etc., etc. This is how I expected ...
