Re: Exporting music to CD burning softward
You can make WAV files always open with WMP if you want. Right-click over the WAV file. Choose "Open with" then at the bottom of the list, choose "Choose Default program". If WMP is not in the list, click the pointing arrow to show more programs, or browse to where WMP is in Prog...

Re: Audacity 2.0.2-alpha fails on Export[FIXED]
Thank you for your prompt reply, Gale. I have more good news. I was able to reinstall all my LADSPA plugins. I found the bulk of them in the Software Center under a package called "cmt" (lower case). A query of Software Center with the keyword "LADSPA" returns some Jack software ...

Re: Audacity 2.0.2-alpha fails on Export
Thank you for your prompt reply, Gail. It's "Gale" (male). ;) The software distributed through the Ubuntu 11.10 Software Center is "audacity 2.0.1+svn20120717+r7260-0~r15~oneiric1". When that Audacity distribution boots, the "Welcome to Audacity!" page says "Welco...

Re: Audacity 2.0.2-alpha fails on Export
I'm running Audacity 2.0.2 alpha under Ubuntu 11.10. My OS maintenance is current. I installed 2.0.2 from my Software Center. I am running on an IBM ThinkPad T43 with 2 gig of memory and a 2.0 gig chip. Thanks for writing, but Ubuntu "Software Center" should not in my view be offering 2.0...

Re: Create harmonics or something isolate transmission whine
I thought I had you right up 'till the last sentence. Why would you want to generate transmission whine? Anyway, the answer to both questions is no. You can't get rid of a moving target. If you had one and only one noise or interference -- we use air conditioner whine as an example -- then you can t...

Re: LP Rip with Distortion at the end of side one
Steve: Many thanks for your input, most detailed and informative, and for the links. It really is very much appreciated. I have not looked at the links yet as my time today has been spent researching this reply. @otwo_pipes: I think you are far to quick to blame USB @Steve: USB is notorious for this...

Do I need to get rid of these clips?
Using Audacity 2.01 to digitize my LPs. I think I'm following the instructions correctly. After recording the LP & saving the project file, I run a HP filter for subsonic noise, then send the wave to Click Repair. My records are coming in around -5 dB on the meter. As the last edit I want to amp...

Re: Product Authorization Code
Soundsoap may be a plugin in <your home>/Library/Audio/Plug Ins . A Finder search will not look inside the Library folder unless you start at the Library folder.

Re: Product Authorization Code
Steve, Option 1 is out since it won't allow me to authorize SoundSoap. I did a search for SoundSoap so I could delete it or move it but the only search results were: Applications>Peakexpress>Documentation>SoundSoap>SoundSoap User Guide. No SoundSoap program found. I would like to use Audacity but it...
