Audacity Export Issues
Hi, i wasnt sure what to search for so sorry if this has been solved. I have a slight issue with exporting. It is merely an inconvenience in truth but it's quite annoying. When I export any audio (in .wav format) I seem to get a glitch part way through the audio. Today for example I had 2h35m of aud...

Re: noise removal assistance?
... just want to see how possible it is to get rid of the background white noise ... If I can figure out how to get rid of the noise as a proof of concept I will get back to writing SW to do it automagically. If it's true "white noise", which has the same intensity at all frequencies , ak...

Re: Audacity 2.x - More Resource Intensive?
Are either of those partitions automatically defragmented, compressed, search indexed by Windows, monitored for changes by a media player or backup service, or anything like that? It may be worth trying setting Audacity 2.0 to use the same temp folder as Audacity 1.2.6 (as an experiment).

Re: -26 dB mic level readings at dead silence [?]
Why don't you ditch Bing and use a proper search engine (Google). I do not like Google or facebook, yahoo etc. Microsoft is by default, can't bite the hand that feeds. One word, cookies and controlling bastards. ...Bing is as good as Goggle (and better because it doesn't compete with microsoft beca...

Why don't you ditch Bing and use a proper search engine (Google). With "Clipping" as the only search term (minus the quotes), the second hit down the list is the Wikipedia entry about audio clipping.Black Dog Bluez wrote:I had no luck Binging (searching) on the overly commercialized internet that topic!

Re: Intermittent Recording Dropouts with Tascam US 122
In the spirit of keeping everyone informed........my Tascam finally gave up the ghost and I had to search for something different. I went with the PreSonus Audiobox and to this date there are no intermittent recording dropouts using Audacity 2.0. That includes working with open programs and my Norto...

Re: Exporting music to CD burning softward
Thanks Gale, this is turning into some kind of epic, isn't it? I am starting to agree with Audino's unkind comments about my computer literacy ;) I am using Windows XP, the player connects through a USB device so will have a look at that. I have tried accessing the manual through the Help tab and al...

Re: Feature Request: On opening older files
I'm not sure that Audacity 2.x would be able to do that. It's not necessarily a job that a donkey can do ;) In order to be able to copy a project, Audacity needs to know where all of the parts of the project are. It needs to know where the _data folder is (which should be in the same folder as the ....

Re: Automated process
I'm not clear exactly what you are trying to automate. Please try and explain what you have already done to get to the state that you show. Also try and explain what else you would like to be able to do. thanks for reply. It's "Envelope Tool" but i use "Multi tool" - it's the sa...
