Koz, thanx. But, I don't think you answered my question. Will the customer be able to turn off his CD player and then be able to find his place when he turns it back on to resume hearing the book narration, without having to search thru the tracks???

Re: updated to 2.x and now don't have access to audio on win
You may have made more changes than you should have done, but try clicking the Windows globe and type "Device Manager" (without quotes) in the search box. Click on the Device Manager link when it appears in the search results. Expand "Sound, video and game controllers" by clickin...

Re: Vsti scanning
I have discovered that the message regarding MMleaks is a by-product of using FLStudio Beta. Once Audacity has run for the first time, it doesn't re-check VSTs, so there's only a problem on installation. The point of what I am saying to you is that I should not be having these install problems with ...

Re: how do I use turntable with a USB port into a MAC
I have already copied 10 LP's onto "aiff" files on my MAC. Now I want to burn them and I think I'd rather skip iTunes if I could and just burn them directly from these files in my "Documents" folder onto a CD-R On Lion and Mountain Lion you can follow these steps to burn CD's fr...

Re: Export multiple is limited to 4
Audacity v 1.2.6 worked just fine. We even had a simple .pdf manual that included USB turntable instructions. If so, Audacity did not write it: http://audacityteam.org/help/legacy_documentation.php . For 2.0.2 there is: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/recording_with_usb_turntables.html . It is...

Re: fixing cassette rip eq
The reason I don't use my other cassette player is that it's a battery-operated walkman and I have something like 100 tapes to rip. I don't want to have to listen to them all to see whether the batteries started dying and slowed down the motors. It's also a 20-year-old device and the 1/8" jack...

You can have modulation effects where he fundamental isn't automatically to the left.Koz [groan] I actually typed another paragraph into my last post but deleted it at the last minute because I deemed it off-topic. I saved it in notepad, so here it is: The linear plot inspires another (related) req...

Re: Using Versions 2.0.2 & 1.2.6
However, despite following the advice provided by Gale, on the face of it, one version was still being 'overwritten' by the other, as the only version the computer displayed (as indicated by the symbol of Audacity displayed on my Desktop), was the last version of Audacity installed. Yes that will h...

Re: AUDITION CD USING MUSIC AND NARRATION ON AUDACITY
I've never used one, but I believe the Yeti is a fine microphone. You'll also need a good quiet & "studio", and some sound absorbsion wouldn't hurt. The acoustics (and your voice ;) ) are probably more important than the mic as long as the mic is of reasonable quality. You can always a...
