Re: Nearest Neighbor Upsampling
Wow! Your version is very fast o.o Programming is funny, squeezing big things into small things. Now you need to officialize it and make a '.ny' <3 So we can install it instead of having a TXT in our desktops hahahahahahah. But now I started to search about Sinc interpolation. On images it looks a b...

Re: Retrieving recordings from data files
I used Audacity to record a concert and the file with the full recordings was deleted by someone and now I only have the data files. They appear to be all the recordings broken into 12 second clips. Is there any way to get the original recordings back from the data files? I am a new user and not su...

microphone suggestions
I use Audacity to make voice recordings and, so far, the built in laptop mic has been adequate. But I've thiught that with a better external mic I might get a better quality, especially with something that is noise cancelling. And so the search is on for a better mic. My question is for the experts ...

Re: How to bring the bass vocal range up in the mix
How would you achive such an effect with male voice: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WJlnJSGRuaE&t=52s? Is it a mere EQ of certain frequencies or something more elaborate, I wonder? There is reverberation on that, probably a reverb effect rather than due to the location ... http://forum.audacity...

Audacity no longer opens due to WAVES plug-ins[SOLVED]
Hi. I have just got an Apogee Duet. Since I have started to use this as an audio interface, Audacity no longer opens. I have had a search for other people with similar problems and found that Audio Unit plugins (Waves in paticular) can cause Audacity to not open. However, I don't think it's this bec...

Re: "No targets specified and no makefile found" on make
Wow you're a musician. :) I sing in a choir too. :) I'm seeking to develop my own app that does music recording, note recognition and other stuff and I wanted to have Audacity as a playground. Cool 8-) for example, I am now studying the code. What should I do if I stumble on a variable or a functio...

Re: Zero Crossing detection
I didn't test your example yet but I encountered similar problems myself, that's why it isn't used in the "Align Tracks Deluxe" plug-in for the time being. However, a similar procedure is used to determine the start and end times in order to truncate a sound, where the following correction...

Apparently wood glue is the latest thing to remove foreign material from vinyl records.uj_morrow wrote:... in my case it's a dog hair, which actually did happen a couple days ago.

Re: lossless trimming?
In the world of image editing ... it is known that you shouldn't edit-and-save in a lossy format if you can avoid it. Yes that's exactly the same for audio. My question - is there anything equivalent for mp3, on Linux? MP3Split The command line tool is called mp3splt (if you search in Synaptic, not...
