Like, Winamp, Audio Extractor, DVD Creator and Boxoft. Hmmmm...... do I need to uninstall of these other apps using the LAME .dll in order to force...

Re: Disastrous White Noise Conundrum (Round 232319)
there is still a hum in the recordings Can you hear it if you plug your headphones into the mixer and turn the volume up? The SM58 is a very sensitive microphone and it can pick up hum from CFL fixtures, electric motors and noises from your computer. One of the problems new people have is they're s...

Re: Can it record streaming IN/OUT audio simultaneously ?
Thanks for all your responses. Although the question is as stated, to record the audio in both directions simultaneously, that does include Skype or any other VOIP activity, but preferably excludes OS System sounds. Regarding audio recording quality, I only need sufficient bitrate for telephone spee...

Hi Gale! Thank you kindly for your fast and very thorough reply. I did indeed place the settings as you have said and yes, I have installed "32 bit FFmpeg for Audacity Only" and it tells me that is already sees it. So all that is fine. I DID happen in the meantime to stumble upon a nice th...

Re: Best Version
pardon me, but how do i upgrade my RAM? You have to buy the RAM then open the computer case and install it. You can usually buy RAM online and have it sent to you in the postal mail. A good online store will have a tool or program to figure out what type of RAM you need and include instructions wit...

Re: Saving usb output from a fender mustang-I amp [linux]
Has anyone on the list actually tried this amp with audacity _Successfully_ ? Yes there have been a couple of other users that have eventually got that amp to work with Audacity (users only generally only write to the forum when they have problems and not when everything is working fine). I don't r...

Sorry, I arrived here via a search engine so I didn't see the recording equipment forum. I guess this should really be over there.

Re: Adjustable Fade
My views on general Fade-in effects: We have two possible sources of music: professional mixed down self recorded/created music professionally mastered music has its own Fade-ins already applied. In general, those ar very short, just long enough to avoid an introductory click. Why is that so? It's s...
