Test Microphones with Audacity?
Am in the market for a neutral sounding omni microphone for use in both studio and on location recording. A friend loaned me his AKG "Mic Check Microphone Comparison CD". http://mixonline.com/news/audio_akg_mic_check/ Since the headphones or speakers used in playback may significantly affe...

Re: First half of project abruptly missing
A quick Google search brought up Streamosaur http://www.wavosaur.com/streamosaur/
I've not used it but I have used Wavosaur (by the same people) and that's a good program.
If you try it, please let us know what you think of it.

Re: Why is Audacity not taking input from this device?
Thanks for your continued help. I checked the settings in ALSA and have included screenshots below. As you can see, the iO4 device is available, but when I select it there are no options for configuring it. A Google search indicates that this is an ALSA problem. Apparently it has been fixed. I'm loo...

Update: A Google search indicates that this is an ALSA problem. Apparently it has been fixed. I'm looking to see if I can find what you need to do next. Please try the tests that I suggested in the previous post and let me know what happens.

Re: Beginner's question
Hello Sirs. I thank Robert J.H. for these explanations. I think of having understood. On the other hand, there is another problem. If you well want to observe the following script (abs-env (pan (scale 0.48 (sine 60 10)) (scale (/ 1 0.697522) (lfo 2 10)))) If I resumes the previous explanation: (scal...

Re: MAC OS Lion - build errors: config.h: No such file
New to the MAC world, so there is likely a very simple and obvious solution. Trying to build audacity-src-2.0.2 Followed "Building On Mac" from wiki. From command line build, I get 195 of this type of error. I tried using Xcode 3.2.6 and got even more. Tried just compiling "libFLAC&q...

Re: Any way to export:M4A/AAC in a chain?
Can you be specific what the issue is, with steps to reproduce? I don't see a problem with a file with one dot in the name. The issue (and it's noted in the documentation) is that if there is a dot in a filename, export won't "auto-add" .m4a as a suffix, at least in "project mode&quo...

Re: playing imported file from CD
Can the person who put these files on the CD help you?
You could search Google for TRM players for Mac, but I could not find anything.
