...but would make the search completely useless with some naming schemes, such as: track01, track02, track03... Maybe something closer to a regular expression search, then. True regular expressions would be arcane to people accustomed to menus for searches, but just having 2 escapable wildcard char...

Re: Removing vocals ONLY, and not other instruments
With "sparkly" I mean the instrumentation you hear in the stem at the 0:30 mark: https://soundcloud.com/tiago-pedro-ti/stem-men-in-this-town-shakira In the 1st part you hear this thick beat above it, which you also hear throughout the verses in the original song, minus those sparkly instr...

Re: Feature request: "Goto" in Label Editor
That would be handy, particularly if the matching criteria were "starts with" and "ignore case" so only the initial characters need be typed. but would make the search completely useless with some naming schemes, such as: track01, track02, track03... I'm not particularly fond of...

Re: Feature request: "Goto" in Label Editor
I've often wished for some kind of label index, and just realized Audacity almost has one: the Label Editor. It's not alphabetical It could be if you could click to sort the "Label" heading. However to prevent changing the label order it may be better to have a search box for the label te...

Cyclic digital noise in all recordings
I'm new to Audacity. I am currently using a Tascam iUR2 interface into an win7 HP laptop and using the latest version of Audacity. I'm attempting to record some bass tracks and consistently have a cyclic digital noise inserted in my recordings. I'm not sure how to classify the noise and cannot isola...

Re: I need English menus...NOT Korean
Actually, I found the answer (in the FAQ) before my post was even approved. I had to search for "Korean language". Searching for "language" by itself wasn't enough. The most convenient way at the moment to search the released Manual http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/ is to bo...

Re: I need English menus...NOT Korean
Thanks! Actually, I found the answer (in the FAQ) before my post was even approved. I had to search for "Korean language". Searching for "language" by itself wasn't enough. Sorry about the duplicate topic. Now that I've got it working, I won't likely post such easily answerable q...

Re: Can't download lame
There is a secondary site that you can use if the main one is down: http://lame3.buanzo.com.ar . Make sure you left-click the files on the buanzo site. Right-click is forbidden 403 on that site unless the browser is configured to send HTTP referers. You can also e-mail Buanzo to ask for help using t...

Re: Tweaks Needed for Remote Collaboration
I'm working with several colleagues doing audio mixing for podcasting, movies, etc. and ran into a problem: Audacity writes absolute links for external dependencies. Naturally, I could copy the files into the Audacity project data folder to compartmentalize the data, but that's inefficient. We're t...
