WAV extension not saving when exported from 2.0.5
I am facing an issue with my audio files bot saving correctly once I export them from audacity 2.0.5. I select export and when the save box opens for me to choose the "save as type" I select WAV and click say. The issue arises once I go into the folder on my computer where it is saved and ...

Please answer the question. All three numbers from Help > About Audacity. 2.0.5 Just to be clear, is this HDD an external USB hard drive, or something else? Yes. Then please search for "saporepo episode 4.AUP". I have - with Show Hidden Files enabled. It simply doesn't exist. Have checked...

Re: URGENT | AUP file completely missing, still have data fo
Using the latest version, 2.whatever. Please answer the question. All three numbers from Help > About Audacity. The AUP project manager file is not inside the _DATA folder. Is that what you were expecting? No, I saved the project to my HDD as I usually did, and thought that both the _data folder an...

Re: Preferences: Libraries buttons grayed out
I've just had a reply from one of the developers (not had chance to test it yet): I investigated the bug and found out, that this issue was caused by a bug in vamp-plugin-sdk 2.5+repack0-1. I fixed the bug in vamp-plugin-sdk 2.5+repack0-1 and uploaded 2.5+repack0-2 to Debian unstable. Please update ...

Re: missing audio data
I started a new topic for you. The "Mama's story.aup" you attached only has a left and right channel with a beep noise lasting less than a second, so it is not the same copy of that project that you open in your picture. The "Mama's story.aup" you open in that picture has referen...

Re: NVIDIA Sound Card Version 1.3.18.0 Not Compatible
You could still try to plug your “monitor speakers” in to the green connector at the back of your tower (instead of the Boston Acoustics speakers). Click “Transport | Rescan Audio Devices” in Audacity, then try recording through WASAPI. Are you still getting the high pitched buzzing noise? If not, ...

Re: Feature request: "Goto" in Label Editor
can someone please clarify what (if any) is the FR here? I will count these votes unless someone contradicts (or changes the count number): Label Editor should not change the track selection (3 votes) Ability to select multiple labels for action in the editor, such as "Remove" (as a separ...

Re: Expander in the future?
I have not tried this, but Chris's Compressor can compress or expand. I'm sure there are plenty of VST compressor/expander plug-ins if you search. GoldWave ($60 USD after free trial) includes a compressor/expander, but it's a little screwy (sometimes it thinks it's compressing when it's expanding). ...

Re: Audacity For Windows Mobile?
We have no current plans (or resources) to develop a WinRT version of Audacity. This would be required to run on Windows RT (the ARM-based version of Windows that the Surface RT uses). Also WinRT applications (even those written for x86 Desktop versions of Windows as found on laptops and desktops) h...
