Re: Need pointers on adding feature to search pattern
Cross correlation is a reasonable starting point, it has it's draw backs though. Let's take a simple example: audacity.wav The search pattern is roughly in the first 18000 samples -- nearly a second at 22.05 kHz. We will now try to search for it with convolution. This is nothing but correlation, if ...

Re: Need pointers on adding feature to search pattern
Feature is to be able to select small section from an audio waveform and locate all occurrences of that section in the complete audio file. The general case of selecting an arbitrary sound, then searching for that sound, is very difficult to implement. There are specific cases that are much more si...

Need pointers on adding feature to search pattern
Hello, I needed a feature in Audacity but it's currently not present. Therefore I'd like to code it myself, but need some initial pointers/comments. Feature is to be able to select small section from an audio waveform and locate all occurrences of that section in the complete audio file. This could ...

Re: Google Chrome App

Re: Audacity doesn't show the waveform
Actually my pendrive is running NTFS and it's 16 gigs. So, I don't understand the Windows error but it doesn't matter because there is no point moving the project to Windows. there's nothing in data folder. In that case, why did Windows see 2.96 GB in the data you were trying to copy? Make sure you...

Re: Can't record from digital piano using audio cable
Hmm, the recording tab only gives me Stereo Mix and the regular microphone, it doesn't say anything about an external microphone input. It does show disabled and disconnected devices, so it mainly seems that it just does not recognise that there is a cable from the piano to the computer Is it a TRR...

Re: Audacity doesn't show the waveform
No, the waveform isn't there. I'm unable to choice Fit in Window. Yes, the recording meant to be nearly 6 Hours. Actually 5h and 55 Mins as I can see where it stop. I have no idea how to split the project. I've search the google but nothing. The log only show's that. I remember there was twice the e...

Double-shielded USB cable or ferrite beads wrapped around the cable can sometimes help with RF noise. Terrific idea. Part numbers and sources? Re: Manipulating Decibels
I just submitted the files for review. We'll see what they say ... We are so on the edges of our seats — across nine time zones. While we're waiting, I wouldn't complain if you posted some of the Before performance. I want to get a feel for the starting point. Chris won't fix you if you're just too...
