Re: Can vst plugin path be custom set?

Thanks I didn't notice the vsti disable option. What I mean't by incremental scanning is this. Reaper doesn't scan plugins it has already recognised, therefore when a new vst/vsti is added it takes no time at all to add them into its 'database'. also the process is automatic at start up. Is this a v...

Re: file won't go over 2GB

IIRC file size is also limited by the format used on the media. FAT32, exFAT, NTFS, all have different file size limits, regardless of the OS or the file type. A fast web search should confirm if that's your problem. Also, MS has kneecapped the format options in the most recent versions of Windows, ...

Re: Detect device

Windows in fact may be the source on this. After failing with Audacity, loading Cubase allowed sound in and out. That was only a test, and then Hulu was played, of course no input needed. Now the Win Sound properties show no input detected. It looks like a big search for answers on pc news forums.

Re: Remove same audio sections from audio files - Detect & T

Hi Steve! Thanks for reply. Is it so hard? I'm so inexperienced user. I try to tell what what I know even if funny. There is a plugin which called Noise Removal in Audacity. We can select a few seconds of just noise so Audacity knows what to filter out. Is there any suchlike technical method to comp...

Re: Use Audacity as a live input stream

Input (Mic/Internal Sounds) -> processing/effects (Audacity) -> Output (a virtual output device that can be accessed) One of the ways I would utilize this is real time static noise removal, to save having to go back and process the audio afterwards, it would do it in real time. You can do it with a...

Re: Audacity ® 2.0.0 (Unicode doesn't record

If you are trying to record from popular sites like YouTube or Daily Motion, in many cases you can download the videos or the audio files therefrom by installing special programs or web browser extensions or by visiting certain sites and typing the URL of the video you want to download. You can use ...

Re: Fledgling voice artist seeking counsel.

Ahh, what a relief. There fit whole worlds inbetween those recordings. I think you're ready to go and to record the "real thing". There are some frequencies I would cut (remember the boominess I complained about weeks ago?). It is now really near to perfection and you might only notice the...

Re: Importing issue

Since you're on Windows, you could try using another tool called AutoHotkey. Try searching https://www.google.com/search?q=autohotkey+audacity.

AutoHotkey lets you write powerful definitions for user actions (aka macros) and assign them to most any keyboard key(s).

Re: Audacity plante:import de fichier FLAC trop lourd?

Thanks. As far as I can tell from a search, Ocenaudio uses FFmpeg but it may not use FFmpeg to open OGG files containing FLAC. And it may use a later version of FFmpeg than Audacity does. In my copy of VLC 2.0.6, if I enter a stream address, I can specify "Audio - FLAC" as the Convert/Save...
