Re: installation errors

Sorry - I am in Win7 and am using 2.0.5 Since the first post I have uninstalled and reinstalled repeatedly. I tried both the plugins and neither, to no avail. When I try to record it just "stutters" at the start point and then opens a message window about latency control. I have reset the ...

Re: Fledgling voice artist seeking counsel.

Where have you read about the ACX measurement habitude? I thought here, possibly in the form of Steve's repeating his conversations with ACX — buried somewhere under 20 chapters of comments. I can even remember some of my comments, but not accurately enough for the search system to hit. "If th...

Cannot load ffmpeg libraries

I am running Audacity 2.0.5 on a Windows 7 PC. I am attempting to download the FFmpeg libraries, but Audacity says it can't locate the library. I try to manually locate the path at C:ProgramFiles(x86)LameforAudacitylame_enc.dll. When I then tried to import a WMA file, I got the returned message &quo...

Re: 1 error compiling in VC++ 2008 on Windows 7

There is a known bug in the wxWidgets 2.8 build script; four of the DLLs end up in the wrong folder. They are installed in lib/vc_lib not lib/vc_dll but it is easy to fix...the easiest way is to copy ALL of C:wxWidgets-2.8.12libvc_lib to C:wxWidgets-2.8.12libvc_dll (very quick—select all, but you re...

Re: Automatic removal of mouth smacks, again

Paul, I just tried it for the first time and it did nothing which is why I came back here to see what settings I ought to be using. :) Once I've figured that out I shall try again and let you know. On a side note, I didn't find that my humidifier did anything to resolve the issue (though whoever sug...

Re: Manual .pdf

I am having a hard time trying to figure out how to use the software via the online help. I have always had better luck using hard documentation. That would be a lot of printing to do, even if there was a PDF. Does it help if you enter your desired search inside the quotes here: http://tinyurl.com/...

Wait. Is it dead now? Or it's going to be dead? Or somebody is going to dead it for you?

Mount an external backup drive and search for and copy all your EVP files.

It would be good to know what's wrong with the computer.
