Re: MINIDISC ANALOGUE RECORDINGS TRANSFER TO COMPUTER
That's MiniDisc research... http://forum.audacityteam.org/search.php?keywords=++minidisc Looks like people resort to going analogue : line-in rather than USB. Re: Silent Subliminal Recording
The settings are different from the ones that I have read about, most of the places that I looked at on the internet That particular code provides a close approximation to Lowrey's method. There are many other ways to implement the same (or similar) technique. If you care to search the forum, there...

[HOW-TO] Recover broken audacity .aup file from hard disk
Recently, I discovered that my laptop hard disk was failing service. Before total meltdown, I wanted to save at least some of the Audacity projects on the disk to a usb-device. During the process, I encountered many input/output errors, because of bad sectors on the hard disk. One of the error occur...

Re: How To Disable Onboard Mic While Streaming
This is driving me nuts. I am trying to stream the audio of my band from a youtube video and I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to disable the built-in mcrophone on my laptop while doing it. I tried everything I can think of, and even temporarily disabled the microphone driver in Control ...

AVS4YOU (music editor) short experience
Did a search on program to edit AAC/compressed music files and AVC4YOU came up first, so I tried. Wow--was like a Cadillac for a while.. actually improving the sound/or so it seemed/the sound of my recorded AAC song, hard to tell though because it was just a demo version and the export had a voice o...

Re: Creating a Cassette Converter plug-in
Hey guys, I'm trying to create an Audacity plug-in that can fully automate the process of converting cassettes into mp3s. This is actually for my final year project of my IT degree. Here's the general outline of what I want to do: 1. User can either enter ID3 tags of tracks before or after the proc...

By the way, shouldn't we have a little bit more than the current wave-forms? There is a plug-in here that offers a wider range of waveforms: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?p=109386#p109386 and one here with a range of "no alias" waveforms: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewto...

Re: Clicks/Beeps in Recorded Audio w. Video Examples
Sorry for the necro but I now have a much more sensitive mic. The audio quality is really fantastic but the damn clicks are not going away. I am nearly 100% convinced at this point that it's mouth noise, but only the mic picks it up, I can never hear it myself. Changing the gain does nothing because...

Re: Signal Just cutting out during a line in recording
... I'm using 2.0.5 on an HP Pavilion with windows 8. We record our church services live to Audacity from a Mackie sound board to the "line in" port to the HP. Whenever the signal gets really high, the recording just flat lines until it calms down and then it comes back. Maybe some sound-...
