Re: how to change search group in input devices.
Without going into the mixer instructions, I would say the connection is for mixer control, DJ control or MIDI, not sound. What do the instructions say? The surefire way to connect the mixer (again, I haven't seen the instructions) is to go the analog route with an external digitizer. Pick the Line-...

how to change search group in input devices.
Hi I have got a Yamaha PSR-E443 and I would like to record it on audacity. I can directly hook it up to my computer via a usb cable. The problem is that when I look in the input devices (on audacity) it doesn't show up. I know this is because windows has put it under the "Sound, Video and game ...

Re: Sound Mixer as attached - Equalizer
This is the Audacity forum. We don't have detailed information about specific hardware. The official website for Leem seems to be http://leem.en.ec21.com/ but they are a Korean manufacturer and may not have much in the way of end user support. You will find general information about mixing desks in ...

Re: Changing Audacity background colour?
If you can find a theme online such as at http://jcsu.jesus.cam.ac.uk/~hdc21/design/audacity/ or possibly on this Forum, you can enable the theme in the audacity.cfg settings file and it will work without the need to compile Audacity. See the Jesus College URL for how to do that.

Re: Creating a Cassette Converter plug-in
I have posted several alternative versions of Sound Finder here on the forum - several with more "advanced" controls. The forum search function is pretty limited, so try a Google search with something like: site:http://forum.audacityteam.org "sound finder" Also this may sound li...

Re: Clicking black "split line" auto-merges. Turn off?
I don't think that we can work with the tab key as an alternative. Firstly, each combination needs shift for a backwards motion since we have only one key instead of left/right. Secondly, Ctrl+Tab (import audio) and Ctrl+Shift+Tab (create split) are already assigned (they are doubling conventional ...

URGENT DEADLINE: unable to locate DATA folder... anywhere
Hello, I am running the newest version of Audacity. Just updated Mac, too. I have been working on a project for a podcast, essentially, and while working, I have been consistently saving the project. Suddenly, the program stopped responding, and I got the little pinwheel mouse. I then had to force q...

Re: Creating a Cassette Converter plug-in
Hey guys quick question. I'm having problems with Sound Finder. It's detecting gaps between songs as a track as well. Are there any fixes/alternatives? I have posted several alternative versions of Sound Finder here on the forum - several with more "advanced" controls. The forum search fu...

Re: "White noise" effect on recording
... Does that imply that I could turn that analogue-hiss into the waterfall noise if I applied the appropriate filters in Audacity? And, if so, what in your estimation would that/those filter(s) be? If you're looking to create ghostly-whispering EVP-effect , Audacity's "Paul Stretch" does...
