Please post links to the clips you want us to listen to. I'm not going to search through 13 pages of posts for them.
The ART preamp you have is USB powered. I wouldn't bother with batteries or an external supply.

Re: Help - there's gotta be a way to...
That makes so much more sense to me, and we get rid of everything else. Doesn't it? People all over earth would kill to have a tool like that. Unfortunately, Audacity and many other software products have no intelligence. They don't "know" what a voice is, they just know piles of data. Yo...

Missing Lame file
I am using Windows 7. I had everything before my PC crashed now I am missing the lame_enc.dll file.
When it says do you want us to search for it I click yes but I still don't have it.
I have Hype and am trying to change cassettes to MP3. Any help greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Sync issue between cam and USB mic ... drift problem
Hello all, I used the search function yet nothing seems to match the issue I'm having. I am using Audacity 2.0.6. I have two audio sources one being my Canon 5D Mark II, which I'll refer to as "Cam," and a couple AudioTechnica AT2035 Mics recording into Logic through a Scarlett 2i2, which ...

Recording volume jumps
Hi Folks, I did do a search on this and also checked out the FAQ section, but I cannot seem to find an answer. My problem is 2 fold) 1 - Is there a way to set a default recording level? I keep setting mine to 22, but it always defaults back to 30 (which when I laugh just makes all sorts of distortio...

Re: Peak Levels
It's my understanding they're going to do a search for peaks over -3. If you violate that measurement too much or too often, they will bounce the submission. Many people are trying to use simple USB microphones to produce audiobook work instead of going all out with a simple sound mixer and semi-pro...

Re: Blue Yeti or 2 XLR mics with mixer for podcasting?
I'm surprised that the listings are still there, but the content behind them is gone. iTunes is usually better at that. Maybe it's a quirk of the search system. If I didn't already know it was there, I'd never find it any other way. One "problem" microphones have is an enormous signal rang...

Re: side by side configuration incorrect
It sounds like you have tried most things. You could try replacing all copies of "msvcp90.dll" and "msvcr90.dll" on the computer with the Audacity copies. Be sure to search in system and hidden files. You could try deleting C:WindowsWinsxSManifestCache or try editing the *vc90.cr...

Can my music file be irreversably write protected?
Not sure if "write protection" is the right term but what I'm trying to figure is if there is a way to keep someone I share a song with that is mine from going in and reediting the artist, title, etc. info and worst case scenario stealing them! Putting their name to them. Because I have al...

Re: My thoughts on musician share sites:
Thanks for sharing your thoughts BDB. SoundCloud was the best that I found too, which is why we decided to put an Audacity group there, but yes I agree that it is rather lacking in terms of "community". I'll be interested to hear how it goes with Yourlisten.com. Currently they are quite sm...
