Re: Opening song file-sluggish
Perhaps if you have any non-Apple apps, try File > Open and scrolling through iTunes folders in those apps. It's possible you may find the same issue which does not occur in Apple apps. Unfortunately I don't have any other appropriate programs that are not from Apple i can use to test this out. Any...

Re: recording voice mail to laptop
There should be a way to transfer the file via USB without "recording" it. You shouldn't need any software for that, just copy the file to your hard drive. You'd have to check your phone's documentation, or search online. Then, you might have to change/convert the format, and Audacity migh...

Re: Lost data file but still have recorded tracks
I am using XP and 2.0x I think. Where can I verify the version of Audacity I'm using? As it says in the pink panel at the top of the page, you can check the Audacity version at Help > About Audacity... . I renamed a saved aup file after working on it over some days. When I returned, the tracks were...

Re: Opening song file-sluggish
If you scroll through other folders than iTunes, does it make any difference? I don't have the same problem there. Have you tried scrolling through Mac file open dialogues in other applications, like TextEdit or GarageBand? I've been suing Logic all day with no hiccups I assume you meant "usin...

Lost data file but still have recorded tracks
I am using XP and 2.0x I think. Where can I verify the version of Audacity I'm using? I renamed a saved aup file after working on it over some days. When I returned, the tracks were all there, but nothing in the yellow folder/raw data. The Warning Message for the missing audio block files came up wi...

Re: crash recovery irregularities
"getting the words right is a big deal" It was "inconsistencies". I originally tried a search with "irregularities" and got nothing. So I just searched "audacity recover inconsistencies" and got the page: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/recovery.html Tha...

Re: High speed dubbing from cassette?
I have around 2000 (Two Thousands) tape cassette, I want to make them into mp3 or any digital form to listen from pc. Are they high quality recordings of music? If so you may lose high frequencies unless you record at a high sample rate. And if you record at a high sample rate the computer may not ...

Re: My thoughts on musician share sites:
Your Listen (.com/free share site) Update, Feb. 5, 2015 (..thumbs down for this site): This is a musician/podcaster share site that comes up in a search when looking for "unlimited uploads," "free musician share site." So I did and joined this site a few weeks ago and today have ...
