Pause/record shortcut always on help

Hi guys, I use audacity in such a way, that when I am recording I am flicking between multiple windows that I need to be viewing (websites, articles etc). I want to be always able to pause/record with the shortcut (P), so that I can keep pause/recording whatever window I am looking at. The problem i...

Re: Running macros/commands during playback

Is there any way I can run multiple commands at a single keypress during playback? Most commands require playback to be stopped, but for those that don't you can send commands from Python. See: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/scripting.html An alternative would be to use a 3rd party automation ...

Re: Trying to get a SM58 mic to work with my computer setup.?.?

Stage/studio* microphones use a balanced audio connection (with an XLR connector) and they are not directly-properly compatible with regular consumer soundcards/laptops. è necessario monitorare il suono della chitarra prima che entri nel computer.

Per applicare gli effetti in tempo reale è necessario un altro software, come il guitar-rig.

Re: Tips for Quickly Dealing with Sibilance on Voice Overs

You can try a de-esser plug-in. See this post for a couple of suggestions or you can just search for "VST de-esser plug-in". It may take some trial-and-error to find a 3rd-party plug-in that works with Audacity but it's a fairly common effect so there should be lots to choose from.

Googl search didn't giv me the most recent
Then you may have gotten it somewhere other than us. I'm pretty sure the one posted in official add-ons is current.

Re: Catalina + 2.4.2 + No Line In Detection

*facepalm* Not at all. I get Internal Microphone for the older MBP and the Air, and MacBook Microphone for the newer MBP. The implication here is probably that I won't be able to get line in on a device that doesn't recognize itself as having a Line Input, which makes sense. Sometimes I forget the b...
