Re: Lost data file but still have recorded tracks

The Audacity Log in question is attached. Quit Audacity (don't save changes if it asks) then search your computer for some of the files starting at time 09:33:36 near the top of the log file. For example, search for: e0003aa2 e00034b3 e0001942 When you find the files, put them in the exact subfolde...

Re: Lost data file but still have recorded tracks

I do have the 2.0.3 version but didn't know it was outdated. The current version is 2.0.6. You can always get the latest release from http://audacityteam.org/download/windows . If you are not already doing so, you may subscribe at the bottom of http://audacityteam.org to receive an e-mail when we r...

Mix and Render with Auto Crossfade

Sorry if this has been suggested already. I did a search and could not find it. A feature that I would find extremely helpful is Mix and Render with Auto Crossfade. So, say you have four tracks with a composite length of 10 seconds. Track 1 is from 0-3, Track 2 is from 2.5-5.5, Track 3 is from 5-8, ...

Re: Hz Conversion

Your question does not actually make sense. 440 Hz and 432 Hz are frequencies . Sound that is 440 Hz can hardly be described as "music" because 440 Hz audio is just one single "tone" (see: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/generate_menu.html#tone) What I assume you mean is: Is...

Re: M-Audio Fast Track USB + Shure SM57 + Audacity setup?

The Shure SM57 is a good solid "instrument" mic. They are usually extremely reliable. Even though the "head" of the mic may appear to be a bit a bit flimsy, they are actually very robust. For recording electric guitar / bass, if I can get a good sound from the amp then I generall...

Re: Opening song file-sluggish

Honestly i didn't look at all the links you provided but the four or five that I did look into didn't say anything that seemed to pertain to my difficulties. For example, in iTunes Preferences, try not sharing your library on your local network and try not syncing devices automatically. I downloade...

HELP! Recover a track

Hi everybody! Last night I was inspired and recorded a tune roughly on audacity and saved it. Then another idea came to my head; recorded it and saved it over the previous one, but I didn't notice. Today when I checked the tunes I realized I've lost the first tune and I can't remember it. I've tried...

Re: Opening song file-sluggish

Perhaps if you have any non-Apple apps, try File > Open and scrolling through iTunes folders in those apps. It's possible you may find the same issue which does not occur in Apple apps. Unfortunately I don't have any other appropriate programs that are not from Apple i can use to test this out. Any...
