Re: Problem opening large .wma in Audacity v 2.1
OK, attempt to open attached 24-bit lossless .wma in A. 2.1.0 resulted in known behavior - loading timer (fast blink), than nothing on screen. Do you have some rules added to Audacity's Extended Import Preferences? Or have you installed Flip4Mac or some other additional codec support for QuickTime ...

Re: Problem opening large .wma in Audacity v 2.1
Here is log of my 2.1.0 session today. At 15:31:13 my file opening operation succeeded, according to the log. The problem is, I do not see its waveform in the window. I even tried to resize the window 13:30:30: Audacity 2.1.0 13:30:30: Trying to load FFmpeg libraries... 13:30:30: mLibAVFormatPath ('...

Re: mts extension used by defunct midi sequencer
because lost floppy That's a shame, because you could probably have used that. If you search the Internet, there is a demo version of MasterTracks Pro 6.8.4 for Windows available as a free download. You could try that and see if it allows you to convert the MTS files into proper MIDI files. Most of...

Re: EQ curve for Czech 78s
I trying to record an old Czech 78 vinyl. I'm following the step-by-step manual http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/recording_78rpm_records.html and I come stuck after inverting RIAA as I don't know the Equalization used by ESTA records. Does anyone know the EQ for ESTA? 78's are not made from vin...

Re: low resonance in live recording
On a live recording, there's a resonance in the room, PA, etc that sounds like a peak in the low mids when the singer hits that tone. Using Audacity 2.0.3, I'd like to EQ that peak out. I'm thinking I'd need to watch a spectrum display at the particular point in the recording where the "woof&q...

Re: How to change dependency file's path.. please help!
This .aud uses only one .wav as it's dependency. I'm hoping that's a typo. Audacity uses an AUP file as its project manager. I have no good experience with 2.1.0, but in earlier versions, you could open the AUP file in a text editor and read it. It's in XML semi-English programming language. http:/...

How to change dependency file's path.. please help!
Ok.. here's the problem: I have a audacity project file which is mostly just markers and small aesthetic edits (nothing major, removals of 'ums' evened levels, etc). This .aud uses only one .wav as it's dependency. I also have this file. They are in the same folder together along with the data folde...

Battling Mosquitoes (equipment review)
Having run into what Koz loves to call "frying mosquitoes" with my Behringer UCA-202 integrated into my Home Theater PC & Stereo system, I did a bit of searching to see if there were any products that might help to isolate USB audio interfaces from electrical computer noise. Since ther...
