We only provide support for Audacity here.

You'll have to write a short script.

You can search the SoX users mailing list for some examples or subscribe to that list and ask for help directly.

Re: Recording device

Close Audacity. Can Windows find it? Search in the audio control panels. Win7 had little sound meters, so not only could you see the connection, but judge the sound volume, too.

Re: "Reverse Karaoke"/How To Remove Music, Keep Vocals?

That's called "Vocal Isolation." That's your Google search term. You can try searching the forum, but I don't think we ever got any further than "this works badly." You would think if we could do Vocal Removal, we could turn the program over and do isolation. The karaoke tools wo...

Re: 320kbps is 96kbps?

I record music from Cd's that I recorded digital on MD There is no need to lose quality by recording from a CD. You can rip the CD's to the end format you require. If you want the audio for use in an Audacity project, rip to WAV which is lossless. If you use CD-ex (see the link), you can even rip p...

Re: 320kbps is 96kbps?

I record music from Cd's that I recorded digital on MD and use the MD to record in audacity with the line in from my pc, so I can use that music on my mp3 player. Sometimes i see a music clip on you tube and will download this as an mp3.I have an on-line converter but the quality is to low (96kbps)....

Re: Static/distortion on recording in Yosemite

I have been getting this in log reports -- don't know whether or not it is related. See attached. Those could be relevant, if the times of the events coincide with when issues occur in your recording - do they? Clearly you should not be doing TimeMachine backups when you record (if you are doing th...

Re: installation of v.2.1.0 changes icon props for excell 20

If I may make an observation - if one doesn't know the cause of the problem, then one may not be looking in the right place or using the 'correct terms' in a Google search (?) Furthermore, a good set of search results will depend on the structure of the search term. Absolutely, I quite agree, but I...

Re: installation of v.2.1.0 changes icon props for excell 20

There has been a bug affecting Office icons on 64-bit systems for years (going back to at least Office 2003 and still not fixed in Office 2010). I'm rather surprised that you were not able to find some reference to this bug yourself - just a quick search of Google brought up millions of hits for me...

There has been a bug affecting Office icons on 64-bit systems for years (going back to at least Office 2003 and still not fixed in Office 2010). There's an old post here that explains the problem and offers a fix. http://www.sevenforums.com/microsoft-office/152972-no-icon-xml-files.html#post1315413 ...
