Re: Missing WXbase28..
Thanks!! It worked and my files are there!! All I was seeing when I did a search of Audacity was the audacity.exe and a shortcut and both gave the error with nothing to reinstall in downloads. I may have removed the program I'm really not sure what happened but again all is well. Thanks again!!

Re: Tinnitus Suffer seeking help form Audacity Community
If you are trying to find the frequency of tinnitus notes you hear, you'll need a signal-generator which you can adjust in real-time , unfortunately Audacity doesn't do that , but tone-generators are available online ... https://www.google.com/search?q=signal+tone+generator+tinnitus+online No, Treb...

Re: Scan a track for specific sounds...
Yeah, I figured audacity wouldn't speak english :). But I was thinking that it might be possible to search a track for similar looking waveforms... Admittedly I'm an Audio-noob, but the "ums" this guy speaks have really similar looking waveforms. I was hoping for some sort of feature where...

Re: Timeless (blank) vs Empty (lined) Track Parts?
The checkbox sounds great! I'm getting the hang of the program now and going well. Will checkout the custom mix but I only work in stereo tracks so don't know if needed for what I do. Thanks again for the great tips! (and please add a search function to the manual - would probably save you lots of q...

Re: How do I edit multitrack
Editing in Audacity is not "just like Audition" because they are different programs. Sure there will be many similarities, but if you really want "just like Audition" then you will have to use Audition. Similarly if you want "just like Sonar" then you have to use Sonar...

I want to use the (Hz) reading to find corresponding musical notes (C, D, etc.) . I am attaching a screenshot and the 3.5 second aud...
