Re: Mono not Stereo
I know this thread is old. However it was one of the first search results when I was looking for the same problem. This is not an issue with Behringer devices or Audacity, Windows is to blame. You have to change the setting for the USB input to be 2 channels. This youtube-video explains it: https://...

Re: Missing parts
Possibly you are only recording one channel identically duplicated on 2 tracks. Any parts common to both channels are recorded, but parts exclusively on one will be lost. Windows: Many USB recording devices, even if stereo, are seen as "microphones" so set by Windows to record in mono. If Audacity i...

Re: Search track function
Even with a sort function, Trebor, I wonder if Mike018 is referring to track names, not the audio itself... MIke018, I'm hoping others might pitch in if it might be possible to do this with nyquist, macros, or mod-script-pipe. I'm looking at Audacity Scripting now; see: https://manual.audacityteam....

Re: Demodulating Single-Side-Band
Yes, that totally sounds like the Amateur Radio Operator next door. Many countries require that the operator be informed of this leakage and given the chance to fix it. "Fix It" doesn't include selling all their radios and antennas. Many Hams are members of emergency communications networks and they...

Search track function
It would be amazing to have a search track functionality that either scrolls to a track or filters out tracks that don't match the input. Use case: I use audacity for exporting hundreds of voice work for individual words for language learning apps. I'll often need to edit a specific word, and each t...

Re: how to reconstruct audio recording with only .au files
Hello again Koz and company, Thanks so much for the additional information and advice and pictures. Yes, I discovered that the audio files are in no order. (AAAUUUGHHHH.) I've never edited an audio file before, so my learning curve is essentially vertical. I'll try to tackle this over the week-end. ...

basic editing: clip boundary question
i don't know the audacity terminology to search for this so i'm asking here. tried to find it in the manual but didn't know what to look for. there is a vertical line that appears across a clip when i split it. if i split at the cursor, i get a single line at the cursor position. if i split it at a ...

Re: connecting Mac to my interface
Could this be as complicated as plug the 2i2 in first, wait a bit, and then start Audacity?
