I think the "VI" means "Visually impaired"?
In that case, wouldn't it be better not to use an abbreviation, for search engine indexing and for the visually impaired, as they will probably be using a screen reader or a braille printer.

Re: Enhancing guitar on a mixed stereo track
I can say that it isn't so black as one might think. A Stereo track is at least better than a mono track. You can always generate three tracks out of such a file, Left, Center and Right, where the center hasn't to be 100 % in the middle. In other words, if the guitar is slightly differently panned t...

You could print a design on clothing instead : a SoX spectrogram would look good on a black T-Shirt ... https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/c/c5/Spectrogram-19thC.png [ I'd prefer a logarit...

Re: Help fixing my aup file?
If you made the show and saved the project, then the _DATA folder may still be on your machine. Audacity will not search all over for it. You should use the Windows search tools to find it and then move it so that it's close to its AUP file. If the show was shot by someone else and provided to you, ...

Re: Audacity locking up issue
It's not as strong as that, no :D It's just the way I put it to professionals recording 16+ channels. If you only play stereo, you probably won't notice it, unless you're also doing bittorrent fi. If you record 2 channels and expect low latency output at the same time, it might provoke hair loss. It...

Re: Move some export preferences into export interface
Finally, they have to find File > Edit Metadata... . which is two lines above "Export audio". Hard to miss if you know that it is called "metadata", but many users probably think of it as "tags". Perhaps that is the underlying problem? A rename might help marginally .....

Re: Live edition
What kind of sound modification? What's you situation/application? Do you have a PA system or something? Most DAW (digital audio workstation) software such as REAPER, Cubase, SONAR, etc., can do real-time effects. Or, you can search for a VST Host , which can host a variety of VST effect plug-ins. (...

The AUP file and the _data folder should be living together in the same folder.
Have you searched your computer (type *.aup in the search box)?

Re: History window slowness
I believe Windows File Indexing can be a factor if files are accessed more than once. The first time I open a project that I've transferred from the laptop it takes quite a while to load the project. Subsequent times, the same project opens in a second or two, and it's not due to any huge amount of...

Re: Recording from USB turntable
Well if I was buying a USB turntable for myself I'd probably go for one if the Project ones: http://www.superfi.co.uk/search.aspx?searchTerm=Project%20USB%20turntable But I suspect they may cost more than your budget ... And what I'd really buy is an ordinary Rega deck: http://www.rega.co.uk/turntab...
