Re: Importing raw data - or from text list
Second - there is no "Browse" button in the plugin gui Unfortunately that is currently a limitation of Nyquist plug-ins. Hopefully there will be a browse button some time in the future, but for now we have to make do with an ugly workaround of using a text box. This limitation is the main...

Re: Importing raw data - or from text list
Thanks Steve. I've spend this afternoon and the day before by testing the plugin you reffered to. I was able to use convert a CSV file with multiple coloumns into several single coloumns CSV files, while adjust the number format using Libre Office Calc. The big issues was to keep the numbers in outp...

Re: Tascam DR-05 noise
We may be able to tell you if it's normal or not. What kind of noise? Rain in the trees soft hiss fffffffffffff? Voice? Music? Make up a 20 second voice test. This is the one I tell people to use for AudioBook testing. It's rough to judge noise cold. It's a lot easier when you have a real voice to c...

Re: How to search for files
If you must have search you can find it in an obsolete 1.3.5 Beta version of Audacity from http://www.oldfoss.com/Audacity.html . But you may have lots of other problems and bugs in that version and we can't help you with it here. Really, it would be better to search in Windows Explorer then drag th...

Re: How to search for files
If you click in the "Look in" box at the top, you can navigate through a tree of the file structure on your computer.
Otherwise, Audacity does not have a search box in its "file open" dialogue. Do you want to "vote" for that suggestion?

Re: Project can not be retrieved
When I hit the back space key the waveform disappeared. I then closed and saved changes to the project. The undo does not do anything You have to Undo (hold CTRL and press Z) before closing the project. If you tell Audacity to close and save an empty track, it won't ask you whether you really mean ...

Re: Recording online audio in El Capitan
Try turning up the volume of whatever you are recording in the web browser player, or if it is a song on YouTube or other popular site, try to download the video instead. You can search online to find out how. When you have the video you can install FFmpeg then you can import the video file into Aud...

Re: Importing raw data - or from text list
Thank you, I already know the theory behind different data types and text encdings, that is not the issue. Your answer confirmed what I suspected - that I need to convert the text file by using another software - wich by the way doesn't seem to exist, at least due to web search for "convert tex...
