Re: How to record from cassette recorder?
I did a quick eBay search for a UCA-202 and found several. Is this what I need?

Re: newbie multitrack question
Any multi-channel audio interface should work. I'd also recommend a multi-tracking DAW application . A lot of people have trouble multi-track recording with Audacity. (Multi-track mixing works, but it's missing a couple of features.) P.S. Or what Steve said - A stand alone recorder or "portastudio" ...

Re: Warning - Missing Audio Data Block Files
Important: Do not select the "replace missing audio with silence permanently" option. (The above comment was from another thread but thought it was important to paste here incase anyone else stumbles across this thread) I've literally just registered to say thanks to Gale! Based on your suggestion ...

Re: -Inf noise floor too low - ACX Help please
Before we get to 7 hours, lets solve this piece at a time. It's nearly 100% certain that rumble is one of your fans in the background. I made the first 2 second worse so you can hear it. No-edit-Noise.wav If it's a laptop cooling fan, that could be why it comes and goes as the computer heats up. It ...

Re: Looking for a plugin like Sliding Time Scale / Pitch Shift
Hi. On my 2.4.2 build from source using the Steve guide, doesn't show the Sliding Stretch either. But you can enable it by going to: Effects/Add-remove plugins and search for it. Click enable and that's it. It works nice for me. But I also used the patch that Steve send me to solve the High Quality ...

Re: lost aup files
Which Audacity? Help > about. Did you close Audacity after the last job and before you tried to open up a job? Open Audacity. Generate > Noise, and then Save a Project. Does that work? Do you get both parts of a Project? https://www.kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/MyMusicAUP-MyMusic_DATA.jpg lost all of...

Re: Keyboard problem!!
Hi evereybody, I recently bought a MIDI keyboard and I immedeately connected it to audacity so that I could record something. Everything worked perfectly until I tried to add a new track to the song and I found out that it couldn't be done... It appeared a message "unanticipated host error". I hone...

Re: Using Audacity for Quicktime Videos
I just opened the QuickTime video that I wanted to add the the audacity audio to and dragged and dropped onto the opened video and QuickTime did the rest super easy (I don't know all of the audio sources it accepts but Wav works). others: If you don't know the answer then don't answer, QuickTime may...

Re: Line only usb audio interface
Do they exist? I'm looking for an USB audio interface with line inputs only. No microphone preamps. 4 channels would be fine. All the search engines only seem to spit out lots of useless "Best 20 of 2020" lists nowadays. Cheers. So here is a 4-channel USB with RCA line inputs. And how could you go ...

Re: How do I start learning about Audio Signal Processing?
Starting in the '70's I'm self taught as a graphic artist, musician, cartoonist, digital photographer and now audio enhancement or restoration of boomer pop music that sound thin on CD, no bass or stage presence due to poor mastering or mastered for vinyl and quickly ripped to CD's during its heyday...
