Re: transposing (changing) tone of 500+ MP3 files - batch mo
Audacity has a feature that may be used for batch processing called "Chains": http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/chains_for_batch_processing_and_effects_automation.html Tip: The front page of the manual is loaded with key words and links, so that's a good page to search for things: http://...

Re: How to set peak recording level at -6 db automatically?
Thanks for your reply. I should adjust the value but it's a bother, because I think that I must stay listening to the music stream in 60 min or longer time to feel the position of the loud parts. I think that it is feasible to detect the loudest part in a music stream by software when I set Recordin...

How to set peak recording level at -6 db automatically?
I installed Audacity 2.1.2 on windows 10 64bit. I would like to record from my analogue sources such as tape, MD using line-in. FAQ page(*1) tells adjusting the level, aim for a maximum peak of around –6 dB on the Recording Meter. So I try to search the peak, the loudest part, in the tapes and MDs, ...

Re: Voice Fine Instrumental Track Stutters
But where is this audio coming from and what are you trying to do? Are you trying to record your voice over a backing track that is playing in your computer? If so, import the backing track into Audacity, ensure Transport > Overdub is on, then choose your mic as the recording device, not what U hear...

Re: Sound Card Impact on Recording Quality - Aud 2.1.1
WASAPI loopback recording is digital so it won't be affected (much) at the recording stage by a bad/cheap sound card, but if you have a bad sound card or you are listening through built-in or cheap computer speakers, the playback of what you recorded won't sound good. If you want to be 100% sure tha...

Re: Audio file not playing
The file is corrupted - "Moov atom not found" according to FFmpeg. This "moov atom" should be at the end of a .3gP file. I don't see why the file should work on Android either, unless the file got corrupted in the transfer to PC. Have you tried transferring it again? If the file...

Re: Removing tv sound from single track recording?
You can't unbake a cake and so you can't generally speaking remove one element from a recording once made. This is is especially so with mono recording which removes any possibility of isolating or reducing based on stereo panning. Also if this is a surveillance recording which you want to progress ...
