Re: how to: search/find spectra

Cheers for that. I'm wondering since Audacity can presumably sample, find and replace automajically , i.e. Noise Reduction could this not be easily developed into a step by step process - just sample and find? Neuroscience always induces a sense of faintness but I will give it a go and let you know ...

Re: how to: search/find spectra

Not that I know of, but you could make a visual search easier by cutting out parts that you know do not contain the required sound - for example, remove silent parts, and remove parts that a so noisy that the required sound will be overwhelmed.

Some way more specific that Hi/Low Pass Filter then...

Re: transposing (changing) tone of 500+ MP3 files - batch mo

Audacity has a feature that may be used for batch processing called "Chains": http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/chains_for_batch_processing_and_effects_automation.html Tip: The front page of the manual is loaded with key words and links, so that's a good page to search for things: http:/...

Re: How to set peak recording level at -6 db automatically?

So I try to search the peak, the loudest part, in the tapes and MDs, but I do not know where the loudest part is. It does not need to be exact - you just need to be in the right ball-park. The important thing is that the recording level remains below 0 dB . (0 dB is full track height. If you exceed...
