Llibrivox newbie
I've just finished recording and editing my first audio recording for Librivox. I was told that my volume was still to high. I was instructed to use the "amplify" feature in "effects" and enter a negative number (-3) and it would reduce the volume. I did that but it wasn't reduce...

Is there a quick way to move a selection boundary to the mouse cursor while stopped when the resulting selection will be less than half the length of the original? Of the original selection? Right. So far the quickest way I've found is to start playback from a point just before the intended positio...

OS: Vista Kudos on two changes in this build (didn't look into when they first appeared): Audio format/sample rate moved to bottom of TCP: Good - lets one shrink tracks so only the MUTE/SOLO status and Gain settings are shown, which is all one usually needs to see when concentrating on some other tr...

Recording Entire Tape, Side A, then....
Sorry for any repetition here but I have searched for an answer. I record my old Cassette Tapes or am starting to. I can save the Tape (say side A) and move it into iTunes. But, in iTunes I have just one Title (Album or mix name) and the whole thing plays through as one song. I want to be able to se...

Re: Higher order filters
Yes and those values disagree with Nyquists. See the problem? I wanted to plug in those earlevel 20-pole values, but first I compared the 8-pole values to nyquists 8-pole values. The 6-pole and 4-pole also disagree. Something aint right. Only one set can be right, and when I see conflicting values I...

Audacity has disappeared...
Hello, I installed Audacity a few days ago and it worked successfully. However, today when I attempted to open the progam I couldn't find it. I searched the install directory and list of recently installed apps but it wasn't there. I did a search of my C Drive and it came up in the directory that I ...

Re: Bluetooth Audio Source
One note. Audacity has a pretend mode, too. Audacity keeps settings and presets separate so when you upgrade, all your carefully prepared settings automatically go with you. Of course, that's assuming there's nothing wrong. If there is something wrong, the evil will stick to you like.....something e...
