Re: How to automatically truncate silence-like parts?
Thank you! I found that normalize with removing of DC offset just increase DC offset, so I search the web about how to fix DC offset and found a solution - High Pass Filter (90Hz, Rolloff: 6dB) that remove low-frequency noise (so as I understand - on my screenshots was not a DC offset but that noise...

Re: How to edit long audio files quickly?
In addition to Steve's Audacity-specific noise-gate plugin, there are De-breath plugins, ( IIRC FloorFish will do that ).skywalker1974 wrote:... anybody can suggest the better and faster way to remove breathing sounds from the audio so that i can save editing time.

Re: Audio speed
To date anyway, it has never sped up during an individual track. Last week for example, I think the first four or five segments were normal and the remaining two or three were fast and high pitched. OK. That's scary. I think it's safe you would not have found that in a casual FAQ search. That's an ...

Normalisation and compression with two separate voice tracks
If this has been discussed elsewhere, my apologies; I did a quick search, but I don't know the relevant terminology yet. I've started a podcast with a friend (you can find the first episode at https://adamnfinecup.com/ - iTunes review pending). As you might expect, I've checked out tutorials and vid...

Re: Upload of data files to Google Drive mistakenly cancelle
Whenever I push files off to an external drive—any drive—the original files stay put until I delete them, usually after I'm sure the transfer worked OK. Doesn't Google Drive work like that? Are you sure the originals are gone? Do a spotlight search for the work. Do you keep a constant Time Machine b...

Hi, I'm running 10.12.16 and Audacity 2.1.3, I believe installed from the .dmg installer. When I first start up my Mac, everything is swell with Audacity. At some point -- I have not been able to identify any instigating event -- any recording from microphones is sped up/made higher (both). I can ge...

Marking a single compilation track so that playback software
I used Audacity 2.1.0 for making single track compilation music tracks. Basically I take several tracks and using the great features of Audacity am able to compile multiple songs into a single track so that volume etc is consistent during playback. What I would like to be able to do is somehow mark ...

Re: Delete a section of the song
Hello Koz. Thanks for your guidance. Now I'm onto my second song, with a new problem. I can't find instructions about how to transpose. Can you please tell me how to find it, or maybe send me a link to it? Folks like me, who don't speak fluent computerese,, would find it most helpful to have a SEARC...

Re: Problem with dat/hex file
I know it didn't specifically say so, and you wouldn't know if you got here in one hop from a Google search, but this board is for the Audacity APP. So if you have any good ideas on developing the Audacity Sound Editor, bring it on. I'm surprised games use DAT sound format. Unless there's more than ...
