Re: Noise Gate MIA?
A Finder search may not look in your Library folder. In the Finder, click on the Go menu and choose "Go to Folder". In the dialog, type: ~/Library/Application Support/audacity . Note the "~" character at the beginning. This should reveal the audacity folder, and in that the plugi...

Re: Making Help Videos
What do you do when Audacity posts an update? Somebody has to go through all the videos and correct/revise them. Making Help Videos
Hi, Intro - I have a question about converting your official Audacity Help Pages/Tutorials to short videos and wonder if this has been done already, maybe at youtube somewhere? Re: No Signal coming in from built-in line in
Recording Skype is a whole other can of worms. Occasionally someone will miraculously get results that they are happy with, but there are many reasons why it is unlikely to be satisfactory. I'd suggest that you use the search box in the top right corner of the forum, and read through some of the dis...

Re: Recording of Internet Phone Call
Thanks, Kozikowski! Wow, who knew such a simple thing could be so hard? It reminds of how hard (impossible, really) it is to do pagination in Open Office (.odt) word processing. But I bet a TON of people DO want to record phone calls while using their computer. SOME free software must be able to do ...

Re: CALF effects, they do not work.
I've looked in Ubuntu package search, and I can't find Calf Studio Gear 0.90.0, only the 0.0.60 version (https://packages.ubuntu.com/search?keyw ... ection=all).
How do 'normal users' install Calf Studio Gear 0.90.0?

Can't record web-audio in Audacity 2.2.0 in Win 10,
Can't record web-audio in Audacity 2.2.0 in Win 10, I believe Audacity needs to be fixed to allow web recording like it used to in older versions of Windows. I can record web audio using another program called FastStone and I have spent 12 hours trying all the internet solutions with Audacity. So I ...
