Thank you for the quick reply. I did see the screen you linked to, and at first I followed the instructions to run FFmpeg. Then I browsed to locate avformat.dll, clicked Open and Ok and Ok also per the instructions. I'm using Audacity 2.3.2, which should be the most current version. ...

it still can't see avformat.dll in the Library. Are you seeing "library not found" like this ? I can't import an mp3 FFmpeg is not needed for MP3s. It's used for many other formats. What version of Audacity are you using? Audacity "out of the box" could always open ...

Audacity 2.3.2 not locating avformat.dll

As koz wrote, the errors shown in the log file mean that you don't have FFmpeg installed. FFmpeg is an optional component that allows Audacity to support more file types. FFmpeg is not required unless you need Audacity to support formats that Audacity does not ...
